Creating the optimal conditions to ensure that new housing will be permanently affordable requires understanding the current and future flood risks of a site. The Coalition has updated its Guided Growth technical services to integrate local hazards and resilience considerations.
To help local governments select locations that optimize public land vacant lands, the Florida Housing Coalition in partnership with the Emerald Coast Regional Council and Texas Community Watershed Partners developed a resilience-based affordable housing planning guide.
