The REPAIR Era Begins: Inside the Summer 2026 Edition of Blueprints!

Florida’s housing landscape is changing—and so is the conversation around how we create lasting solutions.

The Summer 2026 edition of Blueprints, the Florida Housing Coalition’s quarterly journal, explores what it takes to build stronger housing ecosystems through collaboration, innovation, and long-term thinking. Centered around the launch of REPAIR—our new framework for Florida’s housing future—this issue examines how people, policy, capital, and practice must work together to create housing systems that are not only effective today, but resilient for generations to come.

Highlights from this Issue

– Introducing REPAIR – Learn how the Florida Housing Coalition’s newest initiative is reshaping the way we think about affordable housing by focusing on six interconnected goals: Reachable, Equitable, Permanently Affordable, Available, Innovative, and Resilient. Rather than viewing housing challenges in isolation, REPAIR provides a framework for strengthening the entire housing ecosystem.

– 2026 Legislative Session Recap – Explore the latest affordable housing policy developments, including updates to Live Local 4.0, the expansion of Yes in God’s Backyard (YIGBY), factory-built housing legislation, SHIP funding, and other policy changes that will shape housing across Florida.

– Industry Insights – Gain perspectives on emerging housing trends, policy developments, and statewide initiatives that continue to influence affordable housing practice and innovation.

– The REPAIR Framework in Action – This issue also begins a deeper exploration of each REPAIR principle, starting with Reachable, highlighting why access to housing means more than affordability alone. Transportation, accessibility, supportive services, workforce connections, and community inclusion all play a role in creating housing that truly works for everyone.

As Florida’s housing challenges become increasingly interconnected, so too must our solutions. This edition of Blueprintsreflects the Florida Housing Coalition’s continued commitment to advancing research, policy, collaboration, and practical strategies that strengthen communities across the state.
