This webinar on disaster housing recovery will benefit SHIP staff all over Florida and will feature two distinct types of training. First, learn about the new HHRP funds currently being allocated to SHIP offices in areas impacted by Hurricanes Ian and/or Nicole. Presenters will provide an introduction to HHRP, discuss the role of the LHAP in guiding HHRP work, and address initial HHRP activities. Learn how communities have used HHRP following previous disaster and review the calendar of program deadlines and activities.
The second type of training will benefit SHIP staff in the areas impacted by the hurricanes and will also help staff everywhere plan for future disaster response. SHIP may provide long term housing recovery in a variety of ways. Learn the latest about how SHIP staff are providing assistance. In addition, the training will highlight other disaster resources, including the Unite Florida Recovery Portal and the My Safe Florida Home program.
