Cheryl Howell currently serves as the Assistant County Administrator for Equity and Community Impact for Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners, Board member for Florida Housing Coalition, Board Member for the Tampa Family Health Center, and as Executive Director of Florida Community Development Association. Ms. Howell’s many years of work throughout Florida has been to improve the quality of living for people through community building and strategic initiatives. Her work to unify community stakeholders is founded in the philosophy of “strengthening the ties that bind us together” to advance the common goal of improving the lives of low- and moderate-income families and communities. This premise makes way for a broad array of stakeholders to utilize their expertise to aid in increasing and expanding affordable housing, community development, and create economic opportunities to uplift and improve the quality of life for people who have been marginalized. Ms. Howell’s work offers fresh ideas for private and public partners working to advance long-term viable solutions for affordable housing, community revitalization, and economic inclusion.
