Before your SHIP program can aid eligible renter households impacted by COVID-19, you must update and activate your LHAP disaster strategy. Learn the details of offering emergency rent payments and eviction prevention. Presenters will review tenant legal protections as well as the measures that some Florida communities have established to support renters during this emergency period. Participants will receive guidance to implement each step of the assistance process, collect proper file documentation, and track emergency assistance.
