Affordable housing financed with government subsidy must be affordable for a set period of time. This training will address best practices for ensuring that these housing units are affordable long-term. Presenters will discuss Community Land Trusts, Land Use Restriction Agreements (LURA), and how to determine which legal mechanism to use in differing situations. This training will also cover how to set the term of affordability, which entity should be responsible for monitoring, and other policy considerations.
