ALI ANKUDOWICH, AICP, is Director of Land Use Innovation with the Florida Housing Coalition. She partners with local communities on land use policy, land development regulations, and local action planning for more affordable homes. Immediately before Ali’s employment with the Coalition, she served six years as a community planning consultant in the private sector. During her tenure, she collaborated on analyzing, engaging community members, and crafting solutions for a broad range of local issues, including growth management, comprehensive planning, land development code reform, affordable housing, transportation, parks, public finance, and more.

Building on this breadth of expertise, she frames her current work for affordable homes in the multi-faceted local context. She volunteers with the Tampa Bay group of the Congress for the New Urbanism in Florida and is a member of the Florida Chapter of the American Planning Association. Ali is a graduate of Smith College (Magna Cum Laude) and received her Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of California, Los Angeles.
