Florida Housing Finance Corporation administers the State Housing Initiatives Partnership program (SHIP), which provides funds to local governments as an incentive to create partnerships that produce and preserve affordable homeownership and multifamily housing. The program was designed to serve very low, low and moderate income families.
The Florida Housing Coalition, in cooperation with FHFC, administers the Catalyst Program which provides community based organizations and state and local governments with technical assistance to meet affordable housing needs. This assistance includes training on the development of affordable housing programs, public/private partnerships, local housing assistance plans and regulatory reforms. The Florida Housing Coalition, in partnership with Fannie Mae, conducts the state’s only weekly webinar focused on Disaster Resilience and Recovery. From hurricanes to floods, to climate change and climate justice, these weekly webinars are designed to showcase best practices, nationally, statewide, and at the local level. The Florida Housing Coalition works throughout the state to help communities utilize resources more effectively, implement best practices to end homelessness, and develop collaboration among key community stakeholders to achieve effective outcomes. The Florida Housing Coalition is hosting weekly Sadowski Affiliates webinars every Friday at 11:30am during the 2022 Legislative Session. The webinars will provide updates on the legislative session, bills related to Sadowski Funding, and other housing related bills. Registration for the webinars are open to all Sadowski Affiliates. Anyone can become a Sadowski Affiliate by emailing Johnitta Wells at wells@flhousing.org. It is free due to the support of Wells Fargo.
