SUMMARY:WEBINAR: Improving Housing Recovery with New Data Tools and Strategies
DESCRIPTION:Using FEMA IHP data is critical to implementing strategic\, local post-disaster housing recovery and effective resource allocation. Getting access and analyzing data can be challenging. To assist local governments and organizations\, the Florida Housing Coalition and Texas Appleseed partnered to develop the first statewide publicly accessible interactive Disaster Housing Dashboard. FHC has also created new Information Sharing Access Agreement resources to enhance planning for housing repair\, rental assistance and long-term recovery.   \n\n\n\n\nJoin us on Friday\, February 2\, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM to explore this amazing dashboard. When you attend this webinar\, you will:    \n\n\nSee a demonstration and get access to the Hurricane Idalia Disaster Housing Dashboard\, the new interactive mapping tool using FEMA data\, created by Texas Appleseed.   \n\n\nUnderstand how to use the aggregated data to evaluate housing ownership status\, construction categories and structural damage levels – at the county and zip code levels – to enhance coordination.  \n\n\nLearn about new strategies and get templates and worksheets from FHC which will help you prepare FEMA Information Sharing Access Agreements (pre or post-disaster) to enhance planning and coordination between departments\, jurisdictions and disaster recovery organizations.
