Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) is an essential component of affordable housing stock. This type of development prioritizes persons most vulnerable in our communities, with the lowest incomes and highest service needs, including persons experiencing homelessness and individuals with special needs. This webinar will discuss how to analyze unmet housing needs, develop partnerships with community-based service providers, and finance PSH. The presenters will discuss community benefits including reduced costs on emergency room visits, jail time, police interventions, and more. Participants will hear from PSH developers about their experience with FHFC’s competitive solicitation process and how they can effectively create partnerships with supportive service agencies to promote housing retention and permanent transitions out of homelessness and into stable housing. Attendees will learn about the specific RFA’s designed for supportive housing, as well as the team members needed and the process of successfully developing supportive housing.
