HUD has released the estimated median family incomes (MFIs) and income limits for Fiscal Year (FY) 2010. MFIs are used as the basis for income limits in several HUD programs (including the Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher, CDBG, and HOME programs), as well as in programs run by the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Treasury, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Federal Housing Finance Agency, and Government Sponsored Enterprises

The housing bills that repealed the cap on the state and local housing trust funds (HB 665 sponsored by Representative Aubuchon and SB 262 sponsored by Senator Bennett) passed both the House and the Senate, but will not become law because the housing bill became a vehicle for other agendas

The omnibus affordable housing bill moved through its last step before final passage today (April 27). As noted earlier, HB 665 which removes the cap on the Sadowski affordable housing trust funds, passed the House last week. Its companion bill, SB 262, was withdrawn from its remaining committees in the Senate earlier this week, and placed on the Special Order Calendar (the bills that are actually taken up)
