Join us this year for the following Green workshops:

GREEN AFFORDABLE HOUSING
This workshop is designed for non-profit, for profit developers, and city and county staff to provide insight into how an affordable green housing project is certified through our unique Florida Green Building Certification process. In addition, several standards of the certification process most common in affordable housing will be highlighted.

GREEN DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
Green Design will be discussed along with highlights of several award winning single family and multi-family projects. This workshop will explore costs and comparisons in new construction and rehab of affordable green housing.

LEVERAGING GREEN FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
What partners should we be considering in constructing affordable green housing? By examining some of the many opportunities to combine federal and state resources we can ensure maximum leveraging and develop effective partnerships in stabilizing neighborhood through NSP funding, green funding and programs offered by utility companies will be discussed.

AFFORDABLE GREEN HOUSING SUCCESS STORIES
To become further engaged in a green economy we need to be maximizing green funding and creating more opportunities for affordable green housing. By highlighting success stories from entities such as Habitat for Humanity, we will learn of the number of incentives, policies, best practices and innovations.
